"Die Krähen" is a german tv movie directed by Edzard Onneken for Sat1 television. The job was to create huge amounts of computer generated crows attacking the german capital Berlin. VFX Supervisor Florian Gellinger oversaw the shoot for tvt postproduction Frankfurt
, including one week of greenscreen studio filming with trained crows in France that were used in the foreground of our composites. The climatic ending of the movie is set on a field near Berlin with millions of crows surrounding the scientists truck. The entire sequence was shot "day for night" and required massive relighting and sky replacements. Sven Pannicke coordinated budget and work for a total of 130 shots at tvt postproduction Frankfurt.
