Rebecca Ryman: Wer Liebe verspricht
The
love story "Wer Liebe verspricht" by director Dieter
Kehler (ZDF and FFP New Media Production) tells the tale of a
young American girl living with her family in India during times
of British colonization. She saves the life of the Maharajah's
brother by killing an attacking tiger in the wilderness. Our job
was to create a photo realistic fully computer generated tiger
for twelve shots that would blend perfectly with the scenes filmed
in India. Visual Effects Supervisor Christian Pundschus faced
the challenge of having just one and a half months of production
time and a team of two assisting artists. Christian took care
of set supervision as well as compositing, modeling, rigging and
shading while Sebastian Elsner managed the fur simulation and
Lars Krüger animated the character.
